The Chronomancer’s Gambit

What if your D&D campaign started on the day the world ends?

The Chronomancer’s Gambit is a high-concept time-loop campaign set in a dying arcane world. Reality is unraveling. The last concentrating wizard is about to falter. The end is already in motion.

But one man sees what’s coming. The Chronomancer sought out five souls in the city of Wuh-Zhei. Not the strongest, not the cleverest, but the most stubborn. The ones least likely to give up. If only today wasn’t his funeral, if only the Chronomancer’s death wasn’t a fixed point in time.

The players wake up on Plate 3 during the parade for his state funeral. Hours later, an arcane bombing, Platefall, kills thousands, including the players.

Then the day resets.

They remember. No one else does.

The bombing is just the beginning. Factions are scheming, the city is fraying at the seams. The loop keeps spinning until they uncover the true cause of the collapse and find a way to end it.

Time as a Resource

Time is the only resource. If it takes an hour to forge a weapon or secure a lead, they can “spend” that hour in the next loop and keep the progress. Every loop is a run. Every decision matters.

The world ends at midnight.

And they have the rest of eternity to stop it.

Welcome to the Chronomancer’s Gambit.
